Why I built Locali
I’m Simun Yang, founder of Locali. What began with my own experience abroad is now a Seoul-based team helping foreign guests find a home that fits.
I spent ten years living abroad: two in Australia, seven in Germany, and one in the UK. Every move taught me that the hardest part of finding a home is not opening a listing site. It is knowing which neighborhood fits your life, which details matter, and who to trust when you cannot read the local signals.
Back in Seoul, I saw the same uncertainty from the other side. Korean rental platforms, host conversations, pricing, and paperwork assume local language and context. A foreign guest can find hundreds of listings and still not know which one is actually right.
So we built Locali as a housing concierge, not just another marketplace. You tell our team your dates, budget, routines, priorities, and deal-breakers. We turn that brief into a focused search.
Our team reviews Locali stays and selected Korean partner sources, checks fit, availability, and pricing, asks the questions that are hard to ask from abroad, and sends up to three reviewed options with the trade-offs made clear.
Once you choose, Locali handles the Korean-language communication and booking coordination. No paid verification or booking begins without your approval. Regulated real-estate brokerage, legal advice, and formal lease negotiation are handled only through appropriately licensed partners.
The goal is simple: fewer tabs, fewer guesses, and one accountable Seoul-based team from first brief to booked.
