Cancellation timeline
All times are calculated from your scheduled check-in date. The cleaning fee is refunded in full at every tier.
14+ days before check-in
Full refund of rent, cleaning fee, and Locali service fee.
7–14 days before check-in
50% refund of rent and Locali service fee. Cleaning fee fully refunded.
Less than 3 days before check-in
No refund of rent or service fee. Cleaning fee fully refunded.
After check-in
No refund for early checkout.
Full refund cases
You'll receive a 100% refund — regardless of how close to check-in — in any of these situations:
- ✓Host cancellation — we'll also help find an equivalent stay
- ✓Locali operational issues
- ✓Visa denial (with official documentation)
- ✓Medical emergencies (with documentation)
- ✓Natural disasters or government restrictions
Host confirmation window — 24 hours, or 100% refund
When you complete payment, your booking enters a 24-hour host-confirmation window. Locali's operations team books the listing on the host platform and secures host approval within that window. If we cannot confirm in time, the safety net below kicks in automatically — no email back-and-forth required.
What you're guaranteed
- →Host confirmation within 24 hours of payment. You'll receive a confirmation email the moment we lock it in.
- →If we cannot confirm within 24 hours, you get a 100% automatic refund — every won and every dollar, including service fees.
- →On top of the refund, we offer a free upgrade to a comparable alternative listing as part of the Locali guarantee. Reply to the refund email and we'll suggest options personally.
- →If the host explicitly declines before the 24 hours elapse, the same protection applies — full refund plus alternative listing offer, processed immediately.
How the refund actually works
- ·PayPal bookings: we hold an authorization at checkout but do not capture the payment until host confirmation. If confirmation fails, the authorization is voided — no charge appears on your statement, no PG fee absorbed by anyone.
- ·Toss / Korean card bookings: the payment is captured at checkout. On confirmation failure, the full amount is automatically refunded to the original card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
- ·Refunds are triggered by an automated process that runs hourly — you don't need to email, call, or chase us. The system fires the refund as soon as the 24-hour deadline passes without confirmation.
Modifying your booking
You can change your check-in/check-out dates for free up to 7 days before check-in (subject to host availability). Changes within 7 days may incur a fee.
When you'll receive your refund
Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after approval. PayPal refunds return to your PayPal account or original card. Korean payment refunds return to your registered card.

If a host cancels for any reason after we confirm, we refund you in full and help you find a similar stay if you'd like.

English-language dispute support
